Q:
Can I post any Buildeazy data or images in my website?
A:
Absolutely not. See our
policies
Q:
Why do some pages look different than others?
A:
We are currently re-formatting the complete site. This is work in progress.
Q:
Some of your plans and articles seem to be only in metric. Do you also have the plans in inches?
A:
Most of our earlier plans are only in metric.
All new plans are now posted in both metric and inches.
We are currently updating all past plans to inches as time allows. This is work in progress.
Meantime, if it can be of any help, we have a length conversion calculator onsite
www.buildeazy.com/converter.html .
Also a good way to convert is to try and obtain a measuring tape with both metric
and inches on it.
Q:
Some plans have both metric and imperial measurements. The metric measurements are not exactly the same as the imperial equivalents. Why?
A:
In projects that are in both metric and imperial all measurements are given in millimeters (mm) first, followed by feet and/or inches in brackets.
The metric sizes are not an exact match to the equivalent imperial sizes. A shed built using the metric measurements will be approximately 1.6% smaller than a shed built using the imperial (ft and in) measurements. The imperial measurements are more suited to North America. The metric measurements are more suited to Australasia.
Q:
My questions or emails have not been answered. Why?
A:
This site is only run part time and sometimes we are unable to answer
all emails (we do try). A lot of email queries are related to the
questions in this page (hence the reason for this page) so we hope
it is of some help.
We regret that we do not currently run or offer our own advisory or
question answering service as such within the Buildeazy website,
however, the information on the advice on advice page might help those seeking advice and wanting questions answered, or at least lead them to the appropriate URL.

help (general) and
help files for Buildeazy projects.
Q:
I do not understand the timber or lumber terms.
A:
Because all plans and articles are now written to cater to a number of
countries, obviously there is bound to be a little bit of 'terminology'
discrepancy from country to country. It is therefore advised that all
plans are to be used as a guide only especially when relating to the
size and terminology of building materials and it is also advised to
seek the exact sizes etc from the appropriate stores in your area.
The glossary page may help explain some terminology used in this site.
