Definition:
Trim size.
The framed-in opening, slightly larger than the actual window/door, that replaces wall studs to support the structure and accommodate a window/door.
The framed opening in a wall where a window or door unit will be installed. Openings are built slightly larger than the window's frame to allow room for installation.
