Trimmer
Definition:
Under stud.
Framing member that is cut to fit between the bottom plate and the header, beam or lintel.
The member into which a header around an opening is nailed; also the inner stud where a double studding is used around an opening. When used in floors or ceilings, also called a stringer.
The short stud located at the ends of a door or window support header.
