Maddison and Sam give some tips about tepee cover
We made the tepee out of bamboo sticks and polyethylene sheet. We got the bamboo sticks from a garden supply shop and we got the white lightweight polyethylene cover from an upholsterer. The polyethylene is cheap and is very strong and you can make holes in it and it does not fray. The only problem is that we painted parts of it and the paint came off. Maybe marking pencils might work and when we do it we will send in a picture.

Alan ventures into concrete and makes a see-saw
I have never made concrete before but when I made the concrete for the see-saw it was easy and great fun, dad helped but I done most of the concrete work. It is good that the see-saw does not have any handles on it because my brother uses it for a bike ramp but my father tells him not to.

Billy Cart made over weekend
I've always wanted to make a billy cart. When I received the DIY for Kids book, I went and bought the wheels, axles and washers from Bunning's Warehouse and everything else from Mitre 10 Mega. I connected two fence pales together for the main board, but I made it bigger to fit me. I started in the weekend on Saturday at 9.00am and finished on Sunday. When dad tried to help me, he just got in the way. I can't wait till I try the humungist hill next to my house because I've done all the small ones, but my Mum says I can only do it if I don't Break a leg!
