Step 7. Make the throne seat

Run 1"x 1" seat board supports [j] around the inside of the seat area, and fix with glue and 1 1/2" wood screws.

First glue and screw the front seat board support [j] to the inside of the seat front rail [c], 1" down from the top.

Then glue and screw the back seat board support [j] to the inside of the seat rear rail [c], 2" down from the top.

Next, glue and screw the side seat board supports [j] to the insides of the seat side rails [d], aligning them with the front and back seat board supports.

Next, cut the 1" x 6" seat boards [k] to length and glue them in place on top of the seat board supports [j].

The last board will need to be ripped down (cut lengthwise) in order to fit.

Step 8. Make the throne base

Chamfer (angle/bevel) one edge of 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" stock [h,i] for the base.
Measure (allowing for miter cuts) and cut the front and rear base pieces [h] and the two side base pieces [i].
Bolt the two side pieces [i] to the bottom of the legs, and glue and screw the front and rear base pieces [h] to them.

Next, screw 1" x 1" base board support around the inside of the base pieces [h,i] 1" down from the top.

Cut the 1" x 6" base boards [k] to length and glue them in place on top of the base board supports [j].

You will have to cut around the legs and rip the last board in order for it to fit.
