Woodworking plans for a set of Kids Bunk Beds
There are 18 pages in the downloadable file, consisting of plans, drawings, photos, and step-by-step instructions.
Why have a kid sleep in a full-size bed when a kid’s-sized bed will do the job just as well and free up space?
These are kid’s beds. They are not full size and will not accommodate adults.

There are only three different stock sizes required for this project. They are 3/4″ x 3-1/2″ (90 mm x 19 mm), 3/4″ x 5-1/2″ (140 mm x 19 mm), 3/4″ x 1-1/2″ (38 mm x 19 mm).
Those wood sizes (or somewhere near it) should be obtainable in most places.

The unit consists of two independent single beds that can be used separately or joined together on top of one-another to make a set of bunk beds.

Bunk size

The beds are 64-1/2″ (1641 mm) long by 30″ (750 mm) wide, a goodt size for kids up to the age of 10 give or take depending on the size of the kid.
The bunk unit when both beds are joined together is 64-1/2″ (1641 mm) long, 31-1/2″ (787 mm) wide and stands 57-1/2″ (1437 mm) high.
The mattress area is 63″ (1575 mm) by 27″ (675 mm).

The plans are written in both standard (inch) and metric (millimetre) measurements.
